The Treehouse Show brought my attention to a very interesting way to create a carousel using HTML and CSS only, no JavaScript. Since the JavaScript attempting to implement a carousel is not currently displaying properly on Pack 198, I thought I would give this a try.

This site shows how to make it so you can use your own CSS to add appropriate styling to your embedded Google Calendar. I will implement this after I refactor the Cub Scout site.

I have been learning exciting information at Treehouse. Most recently I learned about Slim, a very light framework. It is installed through composer and I will be using Twig to simplify the PHP and create a template for the site. It is a really nice addition to coding PHP and I look forward gaining full understanding of its power through refactoring the site and adding addional features once the refactoring is complete. I will write about my progress throughout the project.
